VaultLayer’s AI Engineer investigates and recommends. It does not silently change production. Remediations require the controls your organisation enables — preview, maintenance windows, approvals, verification and evidence.

Constraints

Recommendations are scoped to connected sites and inventory. High-impact actions surface confidence, risk and rollback. Learning Mode and diagnostics remain available even when apply is disabled (e.g. Free plan).

Failure modes

If verification fails, VaultLayer records evidence and surfaces the failure. Rollback windows are designed into remediations that support restore. Automation is paused when confidence or policy checks do not pass.
